Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga

When lord Kartikeya became angry due to the marriage of his younger brother Lord Ganesh. He went to Krauch mountain Gods tried to console him but they failed in doing that all their efforts were gone in vain. Shiv ji and mata decided to visit Krauch mountain themselves However, when Kartikeya came to know that his parents have arrived, he went away. Lord Shiva assumed that the Jyotirlinga residing their is named Mallika arjuna . Mallika for devi parvati and Arjun for Lord Shiv. They reside their it is said that even seeing the top of mountain can free you from your Sins and Vicious cycle of life and death

Dakshineshwar Kali mata temple

Situated on the Bank of hoogly river in Dakshineshwar near kolkata. The Dakshineswar Kali Temple was founded around the middle of the 19th Century by Rani Rashmoni. In year 1947 Rani Rashmoni, prepared to go upon a long pilgrimage to Kashi to express her Devotions towards Maa Kali

She was to travel 24 boats carrying food supplies and her relatives but the night before pilgrimage she had a vision of Maa Kali in her Dreams and Mata said

 "There is no need to go to Banaras. Install my statue in a beautiful temple on the banks of the Ganges river and arrange for my worship there. Then I shall manifest myself in the image and accept worship at that place"

 Rani immediately looked for and purchased a 20-acred plot in the village of Dakshineswar. The large temple complex was built between 1847 and 1855. The 20-acre (81,000 m2) plot was bought from an Englishman, John Hastie . The land was old muslim burial ground shaped like a tortoise considering it right for worship of Shakti It took 8 years to complete the construction of the temple on 31 may 1855 Maa Kali idol was installed in the temple

Baidyanath Jyotirlinga

Baidyanath jyotirlinga is Located in Deoghar in the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand, India.  Ravana used to worship lord shiva and get boons here he sacrificed his ten heads one after another to make lord shiva happy. Bholenath got pleased and cured Ravana who was injured from there this holy jyotirlina got its name Baidyanath (meaning Doctor)

Shri Jagannath rath yatra 2015

Shri Jagannath rath yatra festival Puri commences on 18 JULY (SATURDAY) and the return rath festival falls on 26 JULY. Countless devotees and volunteers participate in decoration and construction of these three raths . Lord Jagannath rath contains 18 wheels (45.6 feet  high) and is called Nandighosha. Balabhadra's Chariot is 45 feet high containing 16 wheels and is called Taladhvaja. Devadalana the Chariot of Subhadra is 44.6 feet high containing 14 wheels.


Devotees find themselves blessed while witnessing this holy yatra. There are numerous people from all states of India and foreigners too who come to seek the blessing's of Deities.

Amarnath yatra has been halted due to moderate rains. According to weather forecast the sky will be clear by 14 July.Due to these rains there are landslides in the region.
